Artemisa

Artemisa
Calle Ventura de la Vega, 4, Madrid
Metro: Sevilla, Sol, Antón Martín
Vegetarian

You don't have to be a vegetarian to enjoy this great restaurant. The menú del día more than satisfied my craving for a meal without bread and meat (although they give you a basket of whole grain bread). De primero we had four options and picked a large (beautifully presented) Greek salad and cream of leeks. De segundo you can choose between a plato combinado which includes some kind of curry, grain, and a couple other sides, and a plato del horno. All the deserts looked delicious, and we settled on yogurt with blackberry jam, chocolate soy natillas, and a very cocoa-y chocolate mousse.

The decor of the place is simple and homey, without some of the alternative touches of other similar restaurants, which leaves all your attention for the food! Our server was very efficient and friendly, and gave us a whole bottle of white wine for the table. The portions were huge and we left stuffed and content.

Cost: Menú del día, 11,25€ (9,25€ para llevar)
