Tanta

Tanta
Plaza del Peru,1
Madrid
Metro: PioXII, Colombia
Neighborhood: Chamartin

I moved to Spain and I was craving super homey flavors. Living in Miami beach but born in Lima Peru, always makes me want to look for a place that reminds me how good Peruvian food is and reminds me how good mom cooks.
So then I went to Tanta, hearing a lot about it, back in Lima and also all the reputation Gaston Acurio has for all he has done with Peruvian Gastronomy.
So I went around the menu time which is a little inexpensive, in reality the restaurant is not fancy and the flavor and taste totally justifies the price.

So for the entrada (first course) I had causa rellena de atun, delicious!!! The smashed yellow potato flavored with ahi Amarillo an lime is just out of this world, it was served with salsa, which is red onions and aji Amarillo with lime, I am allergic to onions but I was satisfied by the smell of it, the causa was amazing!!
Then I ordered Seco Limeño de ternera, this was again delicious! The meat was so tender, so soft.... So flavorful
To drink I had chicha morada, fresh, not too sweet not too over powerful in flavor, just right
And then for dessert I had Suspiro a la Limeña, hands off, one of the best!!!

This is an experience that only by going you'll be able to understand

Service was top 5 stars, quick, professional and great

Go!

price: Menu 15 euros('til 4pm), for dining between 25-30 each, plates are around 12-25 euros
