Fundación Juan March
Calle Castelló, 77 Madrid
Metro: Nuñez de Balboa
Caféteria
Who doesn't love looking at art before and after eating? The Fundación Juan March is a nice free art collection in the Salamanca area, but the great part about it is the cafeteria in the basement. They have a great €9.50 menú del día. While it is only open Monday-Friday, try not to miss it. The cafeteria has a very modern design with black leather couches and glass tables, but still feels like something several decades older, in a good way. The food was fantastic. I had gazpacho and then chicken breasts stuffed with veggies and prunes with an out-of-this-world sauce. For dessert: profiteroles and a black and white chocolate mousse.
Cost: Under 10 euro
Specials: 7.50 plato del día and 9.50 menú del día
